Jane Austen's Regency World magazine was 20 years old in January 2023. Sild Media, (whose registered office is appropriately Laura Place, Bath) took over as publisher in March 2022 and Jackie Herring (pictured) became the editor. Jackie is an historian specialising in 18th and 19th century Bath and Jane Austen, she was Director of the world famous Jane Austen Festival in Bath from 2007 until 2021.
Previously Jane Austen's Regency World was for many years published by Lansdown Media with Tim Bullamore as editor. Tim, a journalist and freelance obituary writer, took the magazine and 'knocked' it into professional shape. The contributors to the success of the magazine, which incidentally is sent all over the world, include not only many writers but also an excellent proof reader, superb book reviewer and of course talented designer.
